It’s no secret that there are many car customisers willing to modify the legendary Porsche 911, however, the latest Porsche 992 Stinger GTR Carbon Edition from TopCar Design is definitely one of the more unique examples. The car is based on a 992 series Porsche 911 Turbo S with a plethora of modifications courtesy of TopCar. Aside from the mouthful of a name, the Cabrio Stinger has had every surface of the original car modified by TopCar, making it unrecognisable from the stock version.
TopCar has originally unveiled their Stinger GTR Carbon Edition body kit last summer and this is the first time the Cabriolet variant was revealed to the public. The car is one of the most extravagant examples of modified 992’s around and will no doubt be a head-turner even at the most exclusive car parks.
The vehicle that TopCar posted on Instagram is the third car out of a total run of just thirteen examples. The company had stated that the kit will consist of a total of 80 elements of carbon fibre, each consisting of four layers of carbon weave. TopCar had also stated that 100% of the surface of the car has been modified in some way.
Just like its coupe big brother, the Cabrio will have a full titanium exhaust system made by Akrapovic, as well as the lightweight forged wheels made in-house by TopCar Design.
When it comes to the interior, the TopCar Design Porsche 992 Stinger GTR Carbon features an overload of carbon elements, as well as custom TopCar logos replacing the stock Porsche ones. The car that TopCar published on their Instagram account is shown wearing digital camouflage on the seat trim, and yellow stitching throughout.
TopCar has currently not revealed any information about the performance modifications of the new 992 Cabrio Stinger, but knowing the company’s history – we will probably be seeing some serious power gains compared to the stock 992, as the previous Stinger GTR has had its power increased significantly.
