World-famous customising house RDBLA have once again changed the game with their latest creation – a custom Mercedes G63 pick-up. The project is a collaboration between RDBLA and Sammi Shaaya of Pit26 Motorsports, a company specialising in converting luxury SUVs into even more aggressive offroaders.
The build is based on a 2020 Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG, an already luxurious and very capable SUV with prices starting at $160,000 for lower-spec models. However, this clearly wasn’t enough for the creators of the G63 pick up who customised the vehicle into a truly unique offroader.
The G63 pick up has been stretched to allow for a full pick-up conversion, which includes a plethora of modifications including portal axles and a suspension lift. This turns an already capable G63 into a true offroad monster ready to compete with the most capable custom trucks.
The upgraded suspension grips the road with the help of giant 38-inch offroad tires that give the G-Wagon an incredibly aggressive look and a menacing stance to match. Also, in the unlikely event of a puncture, the vehicle is equipped with a full-size tire carrier attached to the rear of the car.
Another interesting feature of the build is the handmade custom fender flares that provide sufficient clearance to the giant wheels and create a wide-body look that RDBLA are famous for. The car also features fully custom front and rear bumpers that protect the vehicle when offroading
The lucky driver of this unique vehicle will also have additional space for baggage thanks to the two truck vaults fitted in the pick-up bed. Vik from RDBLA also stated that there are still some modifications to be completed on the pick-up truck including a roof rack tent and a bike rack.
