Automotive individualization experts Brabus, have announced the 1300 R – the first motorbike to join their lineup. The 1300 R is built in collaboration with KTM and based on the KTM 1290 Super Duke R Evo chassis.
The bike will be powered by KTM V-Twin engine, producing 180 hp and 140 Nm of torque. It’s also equipped with WP Apex semi-active suspension and state of the art electronic rider aids.
The semi-active suspension from WP suspension allows the driver to choose from six different damping modes – comfort, street, sport, track, advanced and auto, and will be available as standard on all bikes in the lineup. A standard anti-diving setting is also integrated which helps keep the front-end high under hard braking, which can be switched off if needed.
No Brabus build would be complete without an upgraded exhaust set up and the 1300 R is no exception. The bike comes equipped with an exhaust slip-on, featuring a double-pipe design, which further adds to the aggressive look.
In classic Brabus fashion, the 1300 R remains true to the ‘Black and Bold’ design identity with a range of modified components including lightweight Monoblock Z 9-spoke forged wheels, carbon air intakes, upgraded headlight and a heated seat developed by Brabus interior specialists.
Brabus have also equipped the 1300 R with a set of heated grips that allow the rider to choose between 4 levels of adjustment and ensure comfortable riding in any weather conditions, while further increasing the luxury appeal of the bike.
The round LED headlight will no doubt remind most petrolheads of the classic Brabus range including Brabus 900 GV12 and Brabus 800 Adventure XLP. However, to maximise the performance of the bike, Brabus have embedded the light in an aerodynamic headlight mask to ensure maximum airflow.
Brabus have announced that only 154 examples of the 1300 R will be built, giving customers the option to choose from two colourways – Magma Red and Signature Black, with 77 units available of each.
