Mercedes-AMG G63 4×4 Squared will be the last vehicle of its kind, according to Mercedes.
After redefining excess in the off-roading world with the G500 4×4², Mercedes-AMG has revealed their all-new super-truck – the G63 4×4 squared — an absolutely bonkers version of the legendary G63 AMG, that’s built a reputation as one of the most recognizable SUVs in the world.
The new G63 4×4 Squared will be the latest vehicle in the Mercedes luxury off-roader line-up consisting of vehicles such as the G500 4×4², Maybach G650 Landaulet, and the insane G63 AMG 6×6. It will also contain a plethora of off-road-ready features and performance upgrades exclusive to this particular model
As mentioned above, the list of performance upgrades is quite extensive, but those who can afford to buy the latest 4×4 Squared can expect to receive a fully independent suspension setup with portal axles, an LED lightbar to illuminate even the darkest of roads, upgraded front skid plates, and carbon fiber fenders.
The new G63 also has 22” forged wheels with a performance offroad tire setup to ensure traction in even the toughest driving conditions. The SUV will also contain a 22” spare wheel mounted on the back of the vehicle in case of a puncture.
The 4×4 squared will have a whopping 13.8” of clearance, these off-road and will be capable of climbing slopes of up to 45°, as well as being able to cross water up to the depth of 35.8”.
To ensure sufficient power, the 4×4 squared is powered by a bi-turbo 4.0-liter V8 which can be found in the standard G63 version. This will provide the SUV with over 580 horsepower, as well as 627ft-lbs of torque, which is delivered to the road via Mercedes’s advanced four-wheel-drive system.
The upcoming G63 Squared will be produced in limited production numbers and is expected to cost potential buyers around $300,000 (£245,000), although the exact price has not yet been confirmed.
